Things Are Good

Hey look, it’s a photobooth family portrait of us!

Aw.  <3

We are a happy bunch today, even little fluffy kitty.

Despite the crazy girl scale freakout from the other night, things have been going well.

The 25 Challenge: My personal challenge for the month of April is going well. I’ve been enjoying walking and have racked up 7.5, or a mile a day. I’ve also got a few bike miles and workouts done too. But because it’s been both cold and rainy I haven’t biked as much as I want. I’m hoping for nice weather so I can go on a looong bike ride or two and knock out most of the miles at once. I miss those long bike rides of the summer!

2011 Bike Miles in 2011: I’m so behind on this. I know I am. The last month was just sad and put my numbers behind schedule. I also am about to embark on living in the US again and won’t have a bike as far as I know. That means this project will have to be put on hold or changed. I probably am just going to change it to be 2011 miles moved so that all miles from walking to jogging to biking to elliptical are counted. That’s probably the only way I will be able to finish, which I want to do.

Eating: This week has been good. I’ve counted calories like I said I would and I’ve stuck to my calorie range or less. So that’s been great! I’ve been adding vegetables to more meals and trying a lot of new things.

Fun: I’m so geeky, but I’ve been having a lot of fun this week with the following things: books, folding flowers, and playing cards. I’m glad we started playing cards because it’s one of my few hobbies that isn’t solitary. I’m pretty sure these days I spend way too much time by myself, but at least I’m enjoying it. It’s been a fun week filled with some of my favorite things.

It’s been a good week and now I’m ready to enjoy the weekend with my happy little family.

Did you see that Skinny Emmie walked a half marathon? Girl is awesome!

Is anyone in Auckland interested in a meetup or just going for a walk? I would like a walking buddy or at least to go walk with someone once or twice. If you are in the area and might enjoy that please send me a message!

What a happy little family! The rain does derail my outdoor walking. I so hope to buy a treadmill one day and not let the weather determine my exercise routine.

    Aw cute picture!!

The weather isn’t nice enough over here to ride my bike 2011 miles this year, I only have a few months where I can actually ride! I’m shooting for 500 :)

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to read how you are struggling with your weight. Don’t freak out. Have you ever read the book Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon? You should give it a try. It might help you to put all this dieting to an end and attain the healthy weight you want.

    All the best,

    Mary

OMG, such a quite picture! I totally want a kitty, I love cat’s so much, but I already have two dogs and I am not sure how well it would sit with them.
