Well, well. Here we are again. How long has it been? Way too long! Things are definitely different from last time I blogged here.
First of all, I stopped dating the last guy. The he let go (gently… even though I did it through text message) when I realized how terrible he was for me overall. We connected in some ways but I hated that he didn’t try to take care of himself at all or live any kind of a healthy lifestyle. I couldn’t justify being with someone who would talk about his friend just having a heart attack, say he didn’t care, then order the worst possible unhealthy choice on the menu. I have been trying to live a healthy lifestyle and I could see the future with him was one of bad food and unhealthy living. It just wasn’t for me.
Oddly enough a few days, well, one day after I did this a guy I work with asked me out. It caught me completely off guard because I had no idea that he was interested in me. I thought we just got along really well as friends. But we went out and I had a fabulous time (hopefully he did too). He is completely about health and fitness. It may go nowhere but at least I know that he is more of what I want in the fact that he keeps and inspires me to a healthier lifestyle.
Also since I last wrote I decided to become a water aerobics instructor. Woot, woot! I was swimming laps one day next to a water aerobics class full of older people when I realized the normal instructor wasn’t there and a lifeguard was teaching the class. I am friends with the guard so I went over to the class to help her. I just wanted to help cheer on the participants and did the rest of the class with them acting as an example of sorts. It was great! I loved the people who take that class and they talked me into becoming an instructor. I talked to the right people and wham, bam, I am on my way!! I will be finished with the training in another two weeks (its only one day a week).
I finished part of my training today when I completed the course that gave me my CPR (Adult, Child & Youth), First Aid, and Emergency Oxygen certifications. I am now a certified “Aquatic Safety Assistant.” This allows me to teach water aerobic classes at the Y once I finish my specific water aerobic instructor training in two weeks. Once I finish I will most likely only sub for the normal instructors when they can’t make it to class. Eventually I will talk to our aquatics director and try to get a regular class of my own. It will be so much fun!
I just started Water Aerobics and LOVE it! Way to go for putting yourself out there and going for it!
Thanks guys. I am still a blogging slacker.
Wait, what is this? A tag? I must investigate….
