I received three imeals for review. No pay or anything like that, just three meals for my tummy to see if they were good or not.
At first I was really confused when I received the e-mail about the product. New iMeals from iMetabolic…uh what? Are they something to do with Apple? I was a little confused about their choice of name and branding but decided to give it a try.
The Product:
iMeals are basically prepackaged meals that don’t require refrigeration/freezing. There are about 13 different meals available so far and most of the meals cost $5.50.
What the company says: “Whether you are dining at home, during a busy day in the office, or even traveling, these meals are perfect because they require no refrigeration. They are what are called “shelf stable” meals. This means that the packaging is designed to keep the food fresh and ready to just heat and eat. You can pop them in a microwave or in a pot of hot water on the stove top for just a few minutes and they’re ready to eat! Add a side salad or vegetable and you have the ideal healthy meal. Better yet, most of the entrees are only 200 calories and high in protein.”
iMeals from iMetabolic – International Metabolic Institute – are sold online in the iMetabolic eStore. http://www.imetabolic.com/store/imeals-c-22.html
I tried two of the meals: Chicken Pasta and Turkey Chili. My favorite was the Turkey Chili so this review will focus on that particular iMeal.
Product Highlights:
– shelf stable: no need to refrigerate
– low calorie: most entrees are only 200 calories
– easy to cook: Heat in microwave or in a pot of hot water on the stove

My Thoughts:
I loved these meals because they are so convenient. Frozen meals are pretty convenient but this takes it even a step further by not requiring any refrigeration. That was great for me when I was taking them to work.
This chili tasted really good. I added cheese and light sour cream and with crackers and a salad on the side I had a really good dinner. (The Chicken Pasta meal I ate was also good, but the chili was way better in my opinion.)
looks good! just a lot of sodium in it though.

@BigGirl
It does have a lot of sodium in it. I definitely wouldn’t eat these too often, but they are good for meals you don’t have time to prepare.
