Excuse me for my absence on the blog… I’ve been busy the last couple days in wedding world! One of my best friends, Candace, was married this past weekend. As a bridesmaid, I’ve been happily busy with wedding events and… feeling pretty!
This past weekend I wore more makeup than I’ve ever worn before. I also learned how to wear fake eyelashes. It’s been a weekend of fun and new experiences. Who knew I’d be 29 before I learned how to wear fake lashes? There is always more to learn in life!
My awesome friend Taylor is in cosmetology school and offered to do my make up and hair for the rehearsal dinner, which you can see in the photo above. It looked great and was a great trial run to the wedding day look. She’s so talented and going to be a great cosmetologist…. I’m happy to have found my new stylist!
Loved my hair and makeup from the wedding day itself as well. It worked so well with our awesome navy dresses. I’ll probably share more pictures of the wedding and my complete look once Candace shares them herself. For now, it’s just silly selfies and reception photos!
The wedding itself was gorgeous and so much fun. I loved the style and decor and felt grateful for the opportunity to help Candace on her big day. I loved what she and the florist did with these birdcages and all the wedding decor.
So pretty! The color combination was great… I loved that they unofficially had Memphis Grizzlies colors with their yellow and blue selections. Since we are in the playoffs right now it’s been a long week of watching late night games. Blue and yellow are my colors right now. ;)
The wedding reception was a ton of fun as well. I got to hang out with my other best friends which always equals a fun time.
Congrats to Brandon and Candace! You guys are amazing and I’ve loved being part of your life for the last couple of years. It’s been a pleasure to watch you grow and I’m thrilled you get to start your life together and live in the same city for once.
Now I’m off to take a nap and relax and recover from an awesome wedding weekend before a long work week ahead! Hope everyone out there has had an amazing weekend!
