It’s been an awesome weekend spent at home! I’ve been away on the weekend more in the last month than normal with Nashville and Hot Springs trips, so I fully appreciated a nice relaxing weekend spent at home.
Plus, some big things happened!
Brother’s Graduation
The first big thing that happened? My little brother graduated college!
Below is how I think of my little brother:
But here is the reality:
Yep, my handsome and incredibly tall little brother just graduated college and is ready to take on the world! I’m terribly excited for him and glad to see him accomplish something he has worked towards for so long.
He is already doing really awesome things with a clothing company he started with a friend called Honorable Mention Clothing Co.
We all celebrated his graduation as a family on Saturday night at a local Mexican restaurant. It truly makes me happy that I get to participate in these celebrations and milestones with my family.
Yeti Tumbler
Jason got a new Yeti tumbler a few days ago and this weekend has been an experiment in making jokes and testing it out. He’s a little bit obsessed with it, but it’s actually quite awesome and I plan to write a review soon.
Snapchat all weekend about a tumbler? Why not!
Brunch
Today I woke up with the desire to cook in my heart! Going out for brunch is my absolute favorite, but I really want to use my kitchen equipment more often.
I wanted to make something in my cast-iron skillet so I choose to make a hash with eggs.
It’s similar to sweet potato hash with eggs recipe I’ve made before but with a few changes like adding zucchini and using different spices.
It turned out perfect and I have about half of it for breakfasts in the morning this week which will be a nice treat. It’s always nice to have something a little different in the mornings.
Thanks to my pre-made breakfast for two days I already had a bit of meal-prep done. I completed a bit more with some hard boiled eggs and pre-portioned fruits and veggies. I love making food on Sunday to grab during the week.
That’s my fun from this weekend! The rest of my time was spent playing with JuJu, reading blogs, and doing laundry and other chores… all tasks that relax me in different ways.
Perfect weekend for me.
What did you do this weekend?
I just visited my little brother and even though he is a grown man too I also still picture him as a little kid, my little kid brother.
