This weekend… I went to the beach!!
Just kidding. While I’d love a beach trip right now, I just went to the gym. They have this totally random seating area in the locker room with a beach photo. I suppose it is meant to be relaxing?
Relaxation x 100
I’m feeling so, so, soooo relaxed.
While that might seem sarcastic, it’s actually true. I feel super relaxed right now.
It’s too early to say for sure, but I think I’ve found the secret supplement I’ve been missing in my life. It’s got me feeling 100% relaxed and 90% less anxious than I normally do. It’s amazing…. but more on that in a future post.
Rob Thomas Live at the Garden
I went to another Live at the Garden event this weekend. This week’s performance was by Rob Thomas. While I hadn’t planned on attending, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. He really likes to get crowds involved and pumped up which was fun.
I actually knew more of his songs than I thought and he went down a trail of Matchbox 20 nostalgia and played several of their songs. It’s definitely more fun when you know the words to the songs being performed!
Dave Ramsey Sermon
I visited a nearby church with friends this Sunday because Dave Ramsey was speaking. While I don’t always agree with his advice I’ve been a fan of his for a few years. I wanted to hear him speak in person and he was just as funny and engaging as I expected.
If you’ve never heard of Dave Ramsey before, he is a Christian personal finance expert who has written a couple solid books helping people get out of debt and manage their money better. He was there to promote his course Financial Peace University, but he has written a ton of books. I’d recommend Total Money Makeover as a starting point.
Random But Great
When I wrote the title to this post, “Rob Thomas & Dave Ramsey”, I realized how weird the combination was. It seems my weekends lately have been filled with random but interesting experiences. I’m definitely grateful for it all!
