Three weeks later and I’m weighing in again after spending two + weeks on the road eating really good things. Did the downward trend continue? What do you think?
Weight In (Road Trip Edition, Yo!)
Current Weight: 210.4 lbs
Previous Weight: 207.4 lbs
Weight loss: + 3.0 lbs
Weight loss Total: – 40.6 lbs
Starting Weight: 251
Goals for this week:
1. Eat less sodium. Since I’m not tracking this is just a general idea, but I can order/buy/eat more things that aren’t high in sodium.
2. Drink more water. The last few days have been horrible for drinking water (not sure why?) so I need to drink more! At least four plastic bottles a day. (I refill them so I’m not using 4 new bottles a day!)
Thoughts
Remember when I just wanted to maintain on this trip? Remember when that quickly went away and was replaced with the idea of not gaining too much? Yeah. That’s how it goes. At least I’m thinking it’s mostly water retention. (Honestly.)
I’ve only been at my mom’s house for a few days and I’m already tired of it. I’ve been bored, stressed, confused, blah. I had a run in with a bowl of cereal or two that resulted in some secret eating (OMG) and nothing else that’s good. It seems that places have more habits and memories than people do.
But next week we are traveling once again, headed to the East Coast in North Carolina so we can finish our coast to coast road trip. Yay! Hopefully it will be a healthier, better week!
I fall into a lot of old habits when I am at my mom’s house. It drives me crazy. Enjoy the Carolina trip! I loved N.C. when I spent a few days there.
Road trips are hard for sodium and water.
I love how you said this – “It seems that places have more habits and memories than people do.” I had not thought of it that way but the lake house for me, has that going on. And family drama that leads to emotional eating. So I can empathize with you today.
I hope the rest of the trip goes fabulously for you:)
I just got off the road and can certainly relate to the sodium/water thing. I know you know about the sodium in restaurant foods, but every time I look at those stats, I am amazed (and not in a good way). Good luck cutting down on the sodium on the rest of your trip!
It is quite astounding. Chefs seem to just dump salt into everything. It’s ridiculous!
A three pound gain is not too shabby, considering… Looking forward to reading about the next part of the road trip!
I can cook healthy food, except for the day we do it UP at the barbeque. I can’t control myself in that place. Nor do I want to.
So excited that I get to hang out with you again, since the first time we were interrupted by your stones.
Sweeeeeeeeeet!!!
So true about places. I think some places bring up such negative feelings that can make me want to turn to food.
That’s always been true about this house. I can’t wait til my mom moves out of it!
What part of NC are you going to, I’m takin a road trip with a friend and her fam there for vaca
Well we are driving through a lot of it, staying near Raleigh.
I wouldn’t worry too much able that small gain – it will go away before you know it. Glad you are enjoying your trip.
It most definitely will. :)
Yay! White castle and BBQ are the two exceptions for sure. :)
I love you too!
I think you did great for being roaded. It’s so tough on the road. And on another note, I watched a show about a man who eats roadkill. Owls, Badgers, Seagulls. ((barf))
Funny. We met some kids from Denmark in New Orleans and they kept asking me where they could find a place where people ate roadkill. Obviously because I’m from Tennessee I was supposed to know.
Hehehe. Skype with us, mrsfatass, and you would be so fun. Perhaps that needs to happen. ;)
