A few days ago I shared what I received for Christmas regarding fitness gifts. I’ve already been using those (the foam roller is amazing!) and I’ve also been loving the other half of my Christmas gifts – the ones related to art, hand lettering, and coloring books!
I’ve been coloring for a while and have always loved art supplies so I asked for several new-to-me items for Christmas. Since art is how I find stress relief I thought it would be the second part in having a healthy holiday and new year.
I took a video showing all my new goodies that you can see below.
Here’s what I got:
- Adult Coloring Book: Stress Relieving Animal Designs
- Secret Garden: An Inky Treasure Hunt and Coloring Book
- Prismacolor Premier Soft Core Colored Pencil, Set of 48 Assorted Colors
- Tombow Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, Primary, 10-Pack
- Sakura 8-Piece Pigma Micron Assorted Colors Ink Pen Set
- Sakura 24-Piece Koi Assorted Water Colors Field Sketch Set with Brush
- Strathmore Blank Watercolor Postcards
I’m so excited about all my fun new art supplies and coloring books! I’m so excited about all these artsy gifts since I use art as my own form of stress relief and as a form of meditation. Since my mind is prone to anxiety having relaxing tasks like this is something I must have. The flow I enter when making art is something I’ve not found many other places. It’s a fantastic gift that will keep giving back all year long. :)
You can see one of the coloring book pages in the video and I hope to share more soon, including a video review of all the products. I know a lot of other people like and use this type of creative outlet (or would like to do so!) so I’d love to share more as I dive deeper into it.
So far the Tombow markers are my favorite! I love these both for coloring and for the handlettering I’ve been doing. I’ve got a lot of practice to go before I consider myself good but I’ve always loved doodling and writing in fun fonts. These markers are so pretty and so much fun to write with!
I’m seriously in love!
