Ok, I was going to do a review/giveaway today but due to camera malfunctions that is going to be postponed. Next week perhaps? Yes. Yes! I’m sure me and The D40 will be happily working together by then. :)
Last night on Twitter I posted some thoughts…
- I don’t want to waste my life but sometimes I am scared I am.
- I just don’t know what it is I should be doing. We all feel this way sometimes, no?
Well, yeah, I think we all do feel that way at times. Someone responded to me that I feel this way because I haven’t connected to my life purpose yet.
Its as if there are missing pieces in my life because I know that I haven’t connected to that “life purpose” yet. Things feel like they are just a few steps away from falling into place, yet so far and disconnected at the same time. Its like an undefinable something right there in my future that I am working toward without even knowing clearly what it is.
So all this thought has made me curious about other people. What is your life purpose? Have you found it yet? Or are you like me and still searching?

Perhaps our life purpose is always changing? I like the unknown! Good to try lots of different things to learn what works for us.

@Sagan
I think you might be right with that. I think some people might have many different thing they are to accomplish with their life and at different points in time the main purpose for them might be something that changes.

Hi Mary,
I agree with Sagan – I don’t see life purpose as something that is “set in stone”. I see it as all part of the journey we’re on – and that’s a journey that has many different paths we can take. The other way I like to look at life purpose is in the vein magnitude. Is my life purpose to write a book – or is it that I want to inspire others. I like to think it’s more something like the second choice – the much broader choice. And that maybe writing a book is one way, of many to work toward that “life purpose”.
That you’re even thinking about this, Mary, says a lot about where you are on this continuum. You are doing well, maybe it’s not fully defined, but I’m guessing if you looked at this from a high level, there might be something there.
Just a thought…

Hi Mary,
I agree with the others: I’m not sure that everyone has a ‘life purpose’ that is static or set in stone. I feel happy with a lot of things in my life at the moment, and in terms of career I feel fulfilled, but I’m sure a few years down the track my wants and needs will change and spin me in a completely different direction.
If you’re feeling a bit lose, maybe you need to sit down and make a list of things you would do if money and circumstances were no object?
Good luck with it!
