Baby’s arrival has now passed her due date and I’m just hanging out waiting for her arrival.
I packed what I’m bringing in my hospital bag for both me and baby for labor and delivery at 37 weeks and finished recently officially 39 weeks pregnant, so she can come at anytime now! I’m officially ready to meet my baby girl, even if she’s very comfortable in her current world.
If you see something I’m missing in my hospital bag, don’t hesitate to let me know! Since I’ve still got time I’m open to suggestions on anything to add that I’ve missed.
Let’s be honest… I’m a first time mom so I really don’t know what I’m doing besides relying on friends and other “what’s in my hospital bag” youtube videos! I’ve tried to find the right things to take along with me once I head to the hospital.
Here’s what I’ve packing in the hospital bags for me and baby:
BABY HOSPITAL BAG
- my baby blanket for photos
- swaddle blanket
- newborn and 0-3 month outfits with hats and headbands
- car seat (installed in car, not in video)
- bib (added after filming)
MOMMY HOSPITAL BAG
- robe
- nursing cami and nursing bras
- underwear
- pajama pants
- comfy shirts
- warm fuzzy non-skid socks
- regular socks
- flip flops
- toiletries
- cooling towel and fan
GRABBING LAST MINUTE
- iphone charger
- contacts and solution
- makeup
- hairbrush
- extra snacks for me and Jason
- birth plan (super basic… yes epidural, no students, everybody come out alive!)
So that’s what is currently planned for my hospital bag as a first time mom having a baby. After packing my hospital bag I felt much more prepared for the situation even though giving birth can be somewhat unpredictable.
I don’t live very far from the hospital anyway so if I really need something there is just a short trip home (or to the store) for anyone in the family that wants to help out. I don’t anticipate that happening and am hoping for a shorter hospital stay, but of course we will see how it goes!
CHAP STICK!!! Omg those hospital rooms are so dry, and you’ll be mouth breathing! Best of luck friend!!
That was such a good idea! I used my EOS chapstick so much while I was in the hospital!
