I spent my entire day dreaming about going to the gym. I didn’t go this morning like I have been doing because I really wanted to wait until after work so I could attend classes.
One of the local Y’s offered both yoga and zumba so I planned on attending both classes. I literally couldn’t wait. All day long it’s all I thought about. I knew it would be exactly what I needed.
At least, I hoped a couple hours of exercise was what I needed.
I went to the Y after work. I did a short run/walk, then yoga, then Zumba.
It was amazing.
I’ve really missed yoga. It was a challenging hour actually but I surprisingly haven’t lost much balance or flexibility.
And zumba? I LOVE ZUMBA. Always and forever.(Here’s nine reasons to try Zumba.) I can’t believe the last class I took was in March! I liked the instructor tonight. She didn’t talk much and just showed us what to do as we went. It was pretty easy to catch on since I’ve done Zumba classes before but she still had a few moves in there I hadn’t seen. I love how all Zumba instructors do things slightly different.
I need more two hour workouts. I need more intense workouts. I just do. I love them. I love moving and sweating and having fun while doing it. It’s something I look forward to all day long. It’s something I can’t wait to talk about on the blog. It’s something I haven’t had enough of in the past few months.
Twenty to thirty minutes a day is just not enough for me. I know this. I’ve been trying to be okay with the small amounts because it was all I could fit in. But really? I need more. So I’m getting more, at least a couple times a week when I can arrange it.
If you want to try Zumba (I highly recommend it!) then search for a class near you. If you prefer working out at home or can’t find a class try Zumba Fitness Exhilarate Body Shaping System DVD. Lots of Zumba workouts you can do at home. :)
Today was great. I love exercise!
What did you do today?
