Last night my friends were complaining they were tired. One of the guys we were with mentioned they were always tired and all girls were always tired. I protested because although sometimes I feel lazy, rarely do I feel tired. I found this interesting. Although I am very inconsistent with my eating and sometimes eat closer to 3000 calories than 1000, my healthy habits work. My daily exercise and consumption of fruits and veggies (room to improve here, no lie) and plenty of sleep provides me with natural energy all day long. I might be classified as unhealthy but I feel healthy.
I remember in high school (my least healthy time ever) when I was tired all the time. I felt sluggish and tired and never wanted to do anything hard. Never wanted to do anything at all. I just felt tired and wanted to lay around. Sometimes I still have my lazy moments but I generally can’t wait to get to the gym. I love that desire and I love the energized feeling I get after the gym.
I love feeling energized even more when I realize many of my friends don’t. (It’s not that they don’t understand a healthy lifestyle. One of these girls was a runner who has stopped running since she started dating her current boyfriend. MISTAKE!) I felt awake, enthused, energized while they were complaining about being tired. Although I outweigh both of them by 100 pounds I had more energy because I eat better and exercise more regularly than they do. I almost wanted to smack them, give them an energy drink, and then tell them to come to the gym with me tomorrow. I might not be losing weight (well, or super slowly) but I feel a million times better than they do. I want my friends to feel the same way I do.
Do you? Do you have a lot of energy? Do you work out, eat right and get tons of energy from this? If you don’t, go do it. If you haven’t worked out today then go do it. I want YOU to feel the same way I do.

I’m exactly the same! For me I think the combination of exercise and live foods have made a huge difference, but also the fact that I don’t consume any stimulants like caffeine, sugar or energy drinks. When I got off those, my energy levels improved tremendously!

I never paid attention to this before, but when I eat well, everything is better. Inside I feel cleaner and my mood is better and my concentration is better. It really does make a huge difference. I agree that weight isn’t so much the factor as habits are.

I have 100 times the energy I did before I started exercising regularly! I used to feel tired and lethargic all the time but now I sleep better and have a lot more energy. A feel good energy too :D

I have always had lots of get up and go, even when I was at my heaviest. I still have lots of energy but what is different, is I have it for longer periods.
good luck to you

Since I began exercising and gave up the junk foods I have lots more energy! I used to feel like I needed a nap EVERY day (not that I could ever get one!) I agree that lifestyle more than just pounds lost ups your energy.

Yes, when eating healthy and getting regular exercise, I always have lots of energy and am rarely tired. Except when I’m sick, like now. :-P I get so mad when I get sick and the doctor tells me to rest. It’s hard to get back into the groove.

I think you bring up some really good points, not the least of which is that small does not equal healthy. Like you, I don’t feel exhausted most of the time, unless I am pulling really long hours at work.
